Sure, we come for the amazing food but, also, this place has, absolutely, the best people in the restaurant business. They aren't owners/employees/servers/cooks. They are family. It's just who they are to everyone. They treat us like guests in their own private homes and are the very sweetest family of people you will EVER find in ANY restaurant anywhere in the world. Very important to me- They use all the organics they possibly can. I appreciate that so much because it's critical for us to consume clean food not sprayed with chemicals. *I'm so NOT Thai. I'm a white kid from a small town in Wisconsin who never even tried it until moving out west. The great joy of Chanon Thai is the broad menu of things to order and absolutely NOTHING is mediocre. Every single dish is mind blowing, FULL of flavor, and just absurdly great. THEN, Bah hits us with the homemade coconut ice cream for the closer. Beyond ridiculous. Make sure you don't leave without ordering that to finalize your dining experience (until next time). I love you all so very much and it's souls like all of you who make SLC and the world a better place. Thanks for always making us feel welcome and thanks for always putting so much love into your craft. It makes all the difference in the world. Oh, and, if they have some, pick up a Kombucha on your way out. Natnicha (little sister) makes the very best organic kombucha you will ever taste in your life. It's truly extraordinary.

I am more about Mexican restaurant or my favorite halibut place, or Olive Garden, but not much for Thai. Until today. It was the last day My grandson was going to be here. He's now on a trip to Alaska to work and he wanted to take me to this restaurant. He said when he lived on fourth E. that he went there at least 2 to 3 times a week. He ordered yellow curry and I ordered an appetizer plate. I frankly do not know how they make that chicken on a stick taste so incredibly delicious and the texture is just awesome. And the shrimp tempura is a shrimp lovers dream .! The cheese wontons were different than I've ever had, they were tempura coated, they were just awesome. The gyozos we as expected , very good and the eggrolls wonderful it also came with a salad, and I had the peanut sauce on it, very good But the find in all this were the two darling waitresses ! just a joy, friendly warm, and to me the most important thing about any restaurant!!! thank you both for a very, very enjoyable meal! Please try this restaurant, a very local one and if you're not a big fan of Thai and your partner is go there, you will be wonderfully surprised :-)

Along Harvey Milk, you'll find this always busy neighborhood favorite. It's small and they do a lot of take-out, so be prepared to wait. It's worth it. We visited this week on a tip from a local. So glad we did! Everything seems delicious. My stand outs are the Pad Thai seafood, Thom Ka, and spicy fish. The plates are healing with flavor and the portions are big. They have alcohol as well as Thai tea and sodas. The service is top notch here. Everyone is welcome. There is much more you could want in the friendly city of Salt Lake. See website for hours, location and menu.

This Thai restaurant holds a special place in my heart, a culinary journey I've savored since my teenage years, and its flavors continue to amaze me, offering the ultimate comfort. For those embarking on their first visit, I wholeheartedly recommend exploring every offering on the menu. The Gang dang (#33) stands as a testament to the best red curry, while the Pad seiw (#26) is a tantalizing and delectable noodle dish that's simply a must-try. Speaking of must-tries, the classic Pad Thai should not be overlooked; it's a culinary masterpiece. As for the beverage, I regret not recalling its exact name, but I assure you, the lime drink was a sublime and unforgettable experience, taking my taste buds on a journey beyond words.
